SYNOPSIS

editfstab [-f file] [-q] filesystem options

DESCRIPTION

editftab can be used to edit the fstab file. options is a comma separated list of mount options for a filesystem.
.Set a ’+’ infront to add the options to the existing. A device or mountpoint can be given as filesystem

OPTIONS

-f file The file to use. The default is /etc/fstab
-q Make editfstab output to syslog and only output errors.

EXAMPLES

Add nosuid and nodev to /vhome if it exists:
  editfstab /home +nosuid,nodev
Overwrite the options for /var/tmp with rw and nosuid
  editfstab /var/tmp rw,nosuid
Change rw, rq, sw or xx to ro
  editfstab /var/tmp +ro
