Paws::Kinesis::SplitShard(3) User Contributed Perl Documentation Paws::Kinesis::SplitShard(3)

Paws::Kinesis::SplitShard - Arguments for method SplitShard on Paws::Kinesis

This class represents the parameters used for calling the method SplitShard on the Amazon Kinesis service. Use the attributes of this class as arguments to method SplitShard.

You shouln't make instances of this class. Each attribute should be used as a named argument in the call to SplitShard.

As an example:

  $service_obj->SplitShard(Att1 => $value1, Att2 => $value2, ...);

Values for attributes that are native types (Int, String, Float, etc) can passed as-is (scalar values). Values for complex Types (objects) can be passed as a HashRef. The keys and values of the hashref will be used to instance the underlying object.

A hash key value for the starting hash key of one of the child shards created by the split. The hash key range for a given shard constitutes a set of ordered contiguous positive integers. The value for "NewStartingHashKey" must be in the range of hash keys being mapped into the shard. The "NewStartingHashKey" hash key value and all higher hash key values in hash key range are distributed to one of the child shards. All the lower hash key values in the range are distributed to the other child shard.

The shard ID of the shard to split.

The name of the stream for the shard split.

This class forms part of Paws, documenting arguments for method SplitShard in Paws::Kinesis
