VPS v2: Web Server Log Files: Changing Log File Format

bullet Introduction

By default your Web Server Log Files are in the Combined Log Format. All access, agent, and referer information is logged to the ~/www/logs/access_log file, with errors logged in the ~/www/logs/error_log. Most modern web log analyzers require the combined log format in order to function.

There are other log formats that can also be used, including the Common Log format and the Extended Log Format. In addition, you can create your own log format if you desire. For more information on changing the log format for your server, see the following.
