  • get
  • list
  • update

  • Description
  • Usage
  • Required Parameters
  • Optional Parameters
  • Global Parameters
  • Examples

Moves an Autonomous VM cluster and its dependent resources to another compartment. Applies to Exadata Cloud@Customer <Cloud@Customer> only. For systems in the Oracle cloud, see ChangeAutonomousVmClusterCompartment <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/tools/oci-cli/latest/oci_cli_docs/cmdref/db/autonomous-vm-cluster/change-compartment.html>.

oci db autonomous-vm-cluster change-compartment [OPTIONS]

--autonomous-vm-cluster-id [text]

The autonomous VM cluster OCID <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm>.

--compartment-id, -c [text]

The OCID <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm> of the compartment to move the Autonomous VM cluster to.

--from-json [text]

Provide input to this command as a JSON document from a file using the file://path-to/file syntax.

The --generate-full-command-json-input option can be used to generate a sample json file to be used with this command option. The key names are pre-populated and match the command option names (converted to camelCase format, e.g. compartment-id –> compartmentId), while the values of the keys need to be populated by the user before using the sample file as an input to this command. For any command option that accepts multiple values, the value of the key can be a JSON array.

Options can still be provided on the command line. If an option exists in both the JSON document and the command line then the command line specified value will be used.

For examples on usage of this option, please see our “using CLI with advanced JSON options” link: https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/API/SDKDocs/cliusing.htm#AdvancedJSONOptions

--if-match [text]

For optimistic concurrency control. In the PUT or DELETE call for a resource, set the if-match parameter to the value of the etag from a previous GET or POST response for that resource. The resource will be updated or deleted only if the etag you provide matches the resource’s current etag value.

--max-wait-seconds [integer]

The maximum time to wait for the work request to reach the state defined by --wait-for-state. Defaults to 1200 seconds.

--wait-for-state [text]

This operation asynchronously creates, modifies or deletes a resource and uses a work request to track the progress of the operation. Specify this option to perform the action and then wait until the work request reaches a certain state. Multiple states can be specified, returning on the first state. For example, --wait-for-state SUCCEEDED --wait-for-state FAILED would return on whichever lifecycle state is reached first. If timeout is reached, a return code of 2 is returned. For any other error, a return code of 1 is returned.

Accepted values are:

ACCEPTED, FAILED, IN_PROGRESS, SUCCEEDED

--wait-interval-seconds [integer]

Check every --wait-interval-seconds to see whether the work request to see if it has reached the state defined by --wait-for-state. Defaults to 30 seconds.

Use oci --help for help on global parameters.

--auth-purpose, --auth, --cert-bundle, --cli-auto-prompt, --cli-rc-file, --config-file, --debug, --defaults-file, --endpoint, --generate-full-command-json-input, --generate-param-json-input, --help, --latest-version, --max-retries, --no-retry, --opc-client-request-id, --opc-request-id, --output, --profile, --query, --raw-output, --region, --release-info, --request-id, --version, -?, -d, -h, -i, -v

Copy and paste the following example into a JSON file, replacing the example parameters with your own.

    oci db exadata-infrastructure create --generate-param-json-input dns-server > dns-server.json
    oci db exadata-infrastructure create --generate-param-json-input ntp-server > ntp-server.json
    oci db vm-cluster-network create --generate-param-json-input scans > scans.json
    oci db vm-cluster-network create --generate-param-json-input vm-networks > vm-networks.json

Copy the following CLI commands into a file named example.sh. Run the command by typing “bash example.sh” and replacing the example parameters with your own.

Please note this sample will only work in the POSIX-compliant bash-like shell. You need to set up the OCI configuration <https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/API/SDKDocs/cliinstall.htm#configfile> and appropriate security policies <https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Identity/Concepts/policygetstarted.htm> before trying the examples.

To get information about an Autonomous VM Cluster in the Oracle cloud, see GetCloudAutonomousVmCluster <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/tools/oci-cli/latest/oci_cli_docs/cmdref/db/cloud-autonomous-vm-cluster/get.html>.

oci db autonomous-vm-cluster get [OPTIONS]

--autonomous-vm-cluster-id [text]

The autonomous VM cluster OCID <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm>.

Use oci --help for help on global parameters.

Updates the specified Autonomous VM cluster for the Exadata Cloud@Customer <Cloud@Customer> system. To update an Autonomous VM Cluster in the Oracle cloud, see UpdateCloudAutonomousVmCluster <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/tools/oci-cli/latest/oci_cli_docs/cmdref/db/cloud-autonomous-vm-cluster/update.html>.

oci db autonomous-vm-cluster update [OPTIONS]

--autonomous-vm-cluster-id [text]

The autonomous VM cluster OCID <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm>.

--defined-tags [complex type]

Defined tags for this resource. Each key is predefined and scoped to a namespace. For more information, see Resource Tags <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/Content/General/Concepts/resourcetags.htm>. This is a complex type whose value must be valid JSON. The value can be provided as a string on the command line or passed in as a file using the file://path/to/file syntax.

The --generate-param-json-input option can be used to generate an example of the JSON which must be provided. We recommend storing this example in a file, modifying it as needed and then passing it back in via the file:// syntax.

--force

Perform update without prompting for confirmation.

--freeform-tags [complex type]

Free-form tags for this resource. Each tag is a simple key-value pair with no predefined name, type, or namespace. For more information, see Resource Tags <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/Content/General/Concepts/resourcetags.htm>.

Example:

{"Department": "Finance"}

--from-json [text]

Provide input to this command as a JSON document from a file using the file://path-to/file syntax.

The --generate-full-command-json-input option can be used to generate a sample json file to be used with this command option.

--license-model [text]

The Oracle license model that applies to the Autonomous VM cluster. The default is BRING_YOUR_OWN_LICENSE.

Accepted values are:

BRING_YOUR_OWN_LICENSE, LICENSE_INCLUDED

--maintenance-window-details [complex type]

This is a complex type whose value must be valid JSON. The value can be provided as a string on the command line or passed in as a file using the file://path/to/file syntax.

The --generate-param-json-input option can be used to generate an example of the JSON which must be provided. We recommend storing this example in a file, modifying it as needed and then passing it back in via the file:// syntax.

--max-wait-seconds [integer]

The maximum time to wait for the resource to reach the lifecycle state defined by --wait-for-state. Defaults to 1200 seconds.

--wait-for-state [text]

This operation creates, modifies or deletes a resource that has a defined lifecycle state. Specify this option to perform the action and then wait until the resource reaches a given lifecycle state.

AVAILABLE, FAILED, MAINTENANCE_IN_PROGRESS, PROVISIONING, TERMINATED, TERMINATING, UPDATING

--wait-interval-seconds [integer]

Check every --wait-interval-seconds to see whether the resource to see if it has reached the lifecycle state defined by --wait-for-state. Defaults to 30 seconds.

Use oci --help for help on global parameters.

--auth-purpose, --auth, --cert-bundle, --cli-auto-prompt, --cli-rc-file, --config-file, --debug, --defaults-file, --endpoint, --generate-full-command-json-input, --generate-param-json-input, --help, --latest-version, --max-retries, --no-retry, --opc-client-request-id, --opc-request-id, --output, --profile, --query, --raw-output, --region, --release-info, --request-id, --version, -?, -d, -h, -i, -v
