Authen::Simple::HTTP - Simple HTTP authentication

Authenticate against an HTTP server.

new

This method takes a hash of parameters. The following options are valid:

  • url

    Url to authenticate against. Required.

        url => 'http://www.host.com/protected'
        
  • agent

    Any object that is a subclass of LWP::UserAgent.

        agent => LWP::UserAgent->new;
        
  • log

    Any object that supports "debug", "info", "error" and "warn".

        log => Log::Log4perl->get_logger('Authen::Simple::HTTP')
        
authenticate( $username, $password )

Returns true on success and false on failure.
