NETWORK_CAPTURE-FILTER(1) OCI CLI Command Reference NETWORK_CAPTURE-FILTER(1)

network_capture-filter -

A capture filter contains a set of `rules <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/api/#/en/iaas/latest/datatypes/CaptureFilterRuleDetails>`__ governing what traffic a `VTAP <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/api/#/en/iaas/latest/Vtap>`__ mirrors. The capture filter is created with no rules defined, and it must have at least one rule for the VTAP to start mirroring traffic.

  • Examples

Moves a capture filter to a new compartment in the same tenancy. For information about moving resources between compartments, see Moving Resources to a Different Compartment <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/Identity/Tasks/managingcompartments.htm#moveRes>.

oci network capture-filter change-compartment [OPTIONS]

--capture-filter-id [text]

The OCID <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm> of the capture filter.

--compartment-id, -c [text]

The OCID <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm> of the destination compartment for the VTAP capture filter move.

--from-json [text]

Provide input to this command as a JSON document from a file using the file://path-to/file syntax.

The --generate-full-command-json-input option can be used to generate a sample json file to be used with this command option. The key names are pre-populated and match the command option names (converted to camelCase format, e.g. compartment-id –> compartmentId), while the values of the keys need to be populated by the user before using the sample file as an input to this command. For any command option that accepts multiple values, the value of the key can be a JSON array.

Options can still be provided on the command line. If an option exists in both the JSON document and the command line then the command line specified value will be used.

For examples on usage of this option, please see our “using CLI with advanced JSON options” link: https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/API/SDKDocs/cliusing.htm#AdvancedJSONOptions

--if-match [text]

For optimistic concurrency control. In the PUT or DELETE call for a resource, set the if-match parameter to the value of the etag from a previous GET or POST response for that resource. The resource will be updated or deleted only if the etag you provide matches the resource’s current etag value.

--max-wait-seconds [integer]

The maximum time to wait for the work request to reach the state defined by --wait-for-state. Defaults to 1200 seconds.

--wait-for-state [text]

This operation asynchronously creates, modifies or deletes a resource and uses a work request to track the progress of the operation. Specify this option to perform the action and then wait until the work request reaches a certain state. Multiple states can be specified, returning on the first state. For example, --wait-for-state SUCCEEDED --wait-for-state FAILED would return on whichever lifecycle state is reached first. If timeout is reached, a return code of 2 is returned. For any other error, a return code of 1 is returned.

Accepted values are:

ACCEPTED, FAILED, IN_PROGRESS, SUCCEEDED

--wait-interval-seconds [integer]

Check every --wait-interval-seconds to see whether the work request to see if it has reached the state defined by --wait-for-state. Defaults to 30 seconds.

Use oci --help for help on global parameters.

--auth-purpose, --auth, --cert-bundle, --cli-auto-prompt, --cli-rc-file, --config-file, --debug, --defaults-file, --endpoint, --generate-full-command-json-input, --generate-param-json-input, --help, --latest-version, --max-retries, --no-retry, --opc-client-request-id, --opc-request-id, --output, --profile, --query, --raw-output, --region, --release-info, --request-id, --version, -?, -d, -h, -i, -v

Copy the following CLI commands into a file named example.sh. Run the command by typing “bash example.sh” and replacing the example parameters with your own.

Please note this sample will only work in the POSIX-compliant bash-like shell. You need to set up the OCI configuration <https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/API/SDKDocs/cliinstall.htm#configfile> and appropriate security policies <https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Identity/Concepts/policygetstarted.htm> before trying the examples.

  • Global Parameters
  • Examples

Creates a virtual test access point (VTAP) capture filter in the specified compartment.

For the purposes of access control, you must provide the OCID <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm> of the compartment that contains the VTAP. For more information about compartments and access control, see Overview of the IAM Service <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/Identity/Concepts/overview.htm>. For information about OCIDs, see Resource Identifiers <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm>.

You may optionally specify a display name for the VTAP, otherwise a default is provided. It does not have to be unique, and you can change it.

oci network capture-filter create [OPTIONS]

--compartment-id, -c [text]

--limit [integer]

For list pagination. The maximum number of results per page, or items to return in a paginated “List” call. For important details about how pagination works, see List Pagination <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/API/Concepts/usingapi.htm#nine>.

Example:

50

--page [text]

For list pagination. The value of the opc-next-page response header from the previous “List” call. For important details about how pagination works, see List Pagination <https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/iaas/Content/API/Concepts/usingapi.htm#nine>.

--page-size [integer]

When fetching results, the number of results to fetch per call. Only valid when used with --all or --limit, and ignored otherwise.

--sort-by [text]

The field to sort by. You can provide one sort order (sortOrder). Default order for TIMECREATED is descending. Default order for DISPLAYNAME is ascending. The DISPLAYNAME sort order is case sensitive.

Note: In general, some “List” operations (for example, ListInstances) let you optionally filter by availability domain if the scope of the resource type is within a single availability domain. If you call one of these “List” operations without specifying an availability domain, the resources are grouped by availability domain, then sorted.

Accepted values are:

DISPLAYNAME, TIMECREATED

--sort-order [text]

The sort order to use, either ascending (ASC) or descending (DESC). The DISPLAYNAME sort order is case sensitive.

Accepted values are:
