blt fasta2seq(1) FreeBSD General Commands Manual blt fasta2seq(1)

blt fasta2seq < file.fastq > file.seq

blt fasta2seq Converts fasta input to a raw sequence stream. I.e., it removes header lines and concatenates the sequence lines.

This is useful to produce raw sequences for tools such as blt find-orfs.

blt fasta2seq < file.fasta > file.seq
blt fasta2seq < file.fasta | blt find-orfs

blt(1), blt-find-orfs(1)
