SYNOPSIS

BL_FASTA_DESC_LEN(ptr)

ARGUMENTS

ptr             Pointer to a bl_fasta_t structure

DESCRIPTION

Accessor macro for desc_len. Use this macro to reference desc_len in a bl_fasta_t structure from functions that are not members of the class. This allows separation of implementation from interface. While the implementation of the bl_fasta_t structure may change, effort is made to preserve the API of functions and macros used to access it.

size_t          desc_len;
desc_len = BL_FASTA_DESC_LEN(&bl_fasta);
