Paws::S3::DefaultRetention(3) User Contributed Perl Documentation Paws::S3::DefaultRetention(3)

Paws::S3::DefaultRetention

This class represents one of two things:

Arguments in a call to a service

Use the attributes of this class as arguments to methods. You shouldn't make instances of this class. Each attribute should be used as a named argument in the calls that expect this type of object.

As an example, if Att1 is expected to be a Paws::S3::DefaultRetention object:

  $service_obj->Method(Att1 => { Days => $value, ..., Years => $value  });

Results returned from an API call

Use accessors for each attribute. If Att1 is expected to be an Paws::S3::DefaultRetention object:

  $result = $service_obj->Method(...);
  $result->Att1->Days

The container element for specifying the default Object Lock retention settings for new objects placed in the specified bucket.

  • The "DefaultRetention" settings require both a mode and a period.
  • The "DefaultRetention" period can be either "Days" or "Years" but you must select one. You cannot specify "Days" and "Years" at the same time.

The number of days that you want to specify for the default retention period. Must be used with "Mode".

The default Object Lock retention mode you want to apply to new objects placed in the specified bucket. Must be used with either "Days" or "Years".

The number of years that you want to specify for the default retention period. Must be used with "Mode".

This class forms part of Paws, describing an object used in Paws::S3
