GnuPG (The GNU Privacy Guard)

bullet Introduction
GnuPG GnuPG (The GNU Privacy Guard) is a tool for secure communication and data storage. It can be used to encrypt data and to create digital signatures. It includes an advanced key management facility and is compliant with the proposed OpenPGP Internet standard as described in RFC2440.

GnuPG is a complete and free replacement for PGP. Because it does not use the patented IDEA algorithm, it can be used without any restrictions.

Do the following, depending on your Virtual Private Servers O/S.

bullet Implementation
We strongly recomend you generate any keys on a local computer and not on a Virtual Private Servers. GnuPG tends to be very picky about the quality of random numbers when generating keys.
